Fiat 124

The Fiat 124 is a car produced from 1966 up to 1974 by the Italian carmaker, Fiat. It is a mid-sized car that is best for families due to its design, advanced coil springs for rear suspension, disc brakes, passenger space, and its overall weight. Having known such information from the Fiat 124, one can definitely say that the car is safe to drive due to the presence of the disc brakes and that it has superb handling, thanks to the advanced suspensions attached to the car’s chassis. The Fiat 124 replaced an older Fiat car model, the Fiat 1300 and Fiat 1500. There are two main body styles for the Fiat 124. These are the four-door sedan, and a five door station wagon. The layout for both body styles of the Fiat 124 is front engine. The physical size of the two body styles differs. The station wagon is longer than the four door sedan. The engine of the Fiat 124 is a 1.2 litre, Fiat OHV straight 4 engine. This can produce a maximum power of 65 horsepower or 49 kW and a torque of 70 ft-lb forces, or about 95 Newton metres. Apart from the two main body styles made for the Fiat 124, an additional two were created for. And these styles were really meant to deviate from the standard models. This is because these two models, the Fiat 124 Coupe and the Fiat 124 Spider, are no longer family cars. The Fiat 124 Coupe began production in 1967 and stopped in 1975. The used Fiat 124 Coupe line has three models. These are the Fiat 124 Coupe AC, the Fiat 124 Coupe BC, and the Fiat 124 Coupe CC. The AC model was the first and had the smallest engine among the three models. Engine size was then increased in the BC model and suspension was enhanced as well. Despite the changes the Fiat 124 Coupe still needed more polishing, thus the release of the CC model. The other additional body style of the Fiat 124 is the Fiat 124 Spider. This is a futuristic image of the Fiat 124 and was created from 1966 up to 1985. This car shares almost all of its mechanical details from its sedan cousins, while it shares its platform from the Fiat 124 Coupe. The Spider version has a five speed manual transmission system, and the major difference from the Fiat 124 Coupe is that it is a convertible car.
